Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality of weldments, fabrications, and machined parts at a vendor facility in Pune, India. The successful candidate will interact with a global team, including quality control, production, supply chain, procurement, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising and coordinating with departments to achieve objectives.
  • Ensuring the use of checklists, process sheets, travelers, and drawings.
  • Attending inspections and ensuring the presence of necessary personnel.
  • Traveling between and working from different NOV and vendor facilities locations.
  • Determining hold points for inspections and tests.
  • Accepting, rejecting, or placing on hold items or operations that do not meet specifications.
  • Verifying operations setup and fit-up.
  • In-process inspection of metal prep, weld shop, and machine shop operations.
  • Visual and dimensional inspection of weldments before blast, paint, heat treat, etc.
  • 100% final inspection.
  • Reviewing parts and equipment before shipment.
  • Verifying and accepting Material Test Reports (MTRs).
  • Completing documentation required by customer, purchase order, or specification.
  • Performing NDE and/or dimensional inspection as needed.
  • Maintaining PQRs, WPSs, and WPQs.
  • Maintaining calibration and calibration records of tools and equipment.
  • Maintaining records as described in the QA Procedure Manual.
  • Maintaining welder continuity.
  • Creating, issuing, and following up on NCRs and CARs, while assisting with RCA.
  • Adhering to and supporting all company rules and policies.
  • FOLLOWING AND ENFORCING ALL SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES AND PROGRAMS; MUST BE ABLE TO USE PERSONAL SAFETY DEVICES AS REQUIRED BY COMPANY POLICY; REPORT ANY ACTIVITIES THAT COULD BE DETRIMENTAL TO THE SAFETY AND/OR THE LOSS OF PRODUCTIVITY; REPORT ANY INJURIES WHEN THEY OCCUR.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Quality Control, Welding and Fabrication Inspection, Machining Inspection.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good interpersonal working skills.
