Data Analytics Project Manager Lead

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in data analytics to lead complex projects. As a Technical Project Manager, you will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery while managing cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, coordinate, and execute data analytics projects ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and quality standards.
2. Utilize your experience in data analytics to guide the team in defining project requirements, objectives, and success criteria.
3. Apply Agile methodologies to create detailed project plans, sprint schedules, and resource allocation for efficient project delivery.
4. Manage a team of technical resources fostering collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.
5. Collaborate closely with stakeholders including data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business leaders to align project goals with business objectives.
6. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, issues, and bottlenecks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
7. Provide regular project updates to executive leadership, stakeholders, and project teams using excellent communication skills.
8. Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings promoting transparency and efficiency.
9. Implement best practices for data analytics ensuring data quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
10. Escalate project-related challenges and work with the team to resolve issues promptly maintaining project momentum.
Mandatory Experience:
1. Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager driving project management activities in Data Lake and Data Warehousing (DW).
2. Strong understanding of DW process execution from acquiring data to visualization.
3. Exposure to Azure skills – ADF, Databricks, Synapse, SQL, PowerBI for at least 3+ years or experience managing end-to-end projects on Azure Cloud.
Other Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 13 to 15 years of progressive experience in technical project management with a focus on data analytics and data-driven initiatives.
3. In-depth knowledge of data analytics concepts, tools, and technologies including data warehousing, data modeling, data visualization, and machine learning.
4. Exceptional leadership and team management skills inspiring, mentoring, and guiding technical professionals.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills collaborating effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
6. Demonstrated success in delivering data analytics projects meeting or exceeding quality expectations.
7. Strong problem-solving skills identifying challenges and finding creative solutions.
8. Project management certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM would be an added advantage.
9. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
