Android Software Engineer Role Overview

As a pioneering Android engineer, you'll drive the development of innovative features and deliver world-class user experiences on emerging technologies for leading sports organisations, rights owners, media companies, and broadcasters.

You'll be responsible for developing new user-facing features for Android using Kotlin and Java, contributing to building reusable components and libraries, translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code, and optimising components for maximum performance across a range of devices.

You'll collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to analyse and implement technical requirements, participate in technical discussions, raise potential challenges or improvements, and stay up-to-date with Android development trends.

Technical Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience as an Android engineer
  • Good knowledge of Android programming platform and SDK (4.0+)
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin, as well as a working knowledge of Java
  • Thorough understanding of the Android system Framework APIs
  • Experience with Rx.Java and its core principles
