Senior Product Designer

As a key member of the MyOperator team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and taking ownership of all application platforms. While working in the design team here, you will be working with some of the most talented, passionate, creative, and process-driven individuals around, so you can expect to learn as much from them as we will from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Solutions: Create design solutions and UX design vision to maximize user experiences across all products and channels, working closely with product managers and designers.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional peers, prioritising and allocating tasks to deliver against business problems.
  • Clean Design: Exhibit a preference for a clean, simplistic, functional design that meets the user objectives and serves key business metrics like conversion and retention.
  • Design Oversight: Oversee the design of app and website as well as the development of web interfaces.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Assess and effectively use quantitative and qualitative data to drive decisions and measure the success of the apps and websites.
  • Team Leadership: Understand areas that need improvement and provide necessary directions for improvement. Directs the team in effectively achieving set goals within the set timespan.
  • Team Development: Enhance the skills of the team to boost productivity, performance, and output as well as keep up the whole team spirit.
  • Brand Consistency: Make sure all the designs produced are on brand without fail, in any detail.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5 years of experience as a UI/UX designer or similar role in a product-based organisation.
  • Education: Should hold a bachelor's degree (preferably in design, fine art, or engineering).
  • Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of UX design processes, usability best practices, usability principles, UI patterns, research methodologies, user interviewing techniques.
  • Design Tools: Strong hold of design tools such as Adobe XD or Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects.
  • Design Systems: Sound knowledge of Design Systems, importance & implementation protocols and UX design tools and resources.
  • Human Interaction: Knowledge of human interactions, behaviour etc.
  • Portfolio: An excellent portfolio that demonstrates design thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with an emphasis on design and user experience.
  • Team Management: Excellent team management and collaboration skills.
  • Development Tools: Exposure to development tools and frameworks.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.

Along with these, it will be great to have:

  • Team Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing or mentoring a team of designers.
  • Business and Human Psychology: Good understanding of Business and Human psychology.
  • Brand Design: Knowledge in brand design.
  • Problem-Solving: Exposure to a wide variety of problem spaces and technologies.
  • Prototyping: Excellent skills in prototyping, sketching etc.
  • Technology Trends: A zeal for understanding new technologies, trends and tools.
