About the Role:

The Vice President of Expense Management and Accounting Control is a pivotal leadership position that requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, a focus on process improvement, stakeholder management, and a commitment to driving financial excellence.

This role involves handling escalations, contributing to process re-engineering, ensuring tax compliance, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The VP will lead a team, foster a culture of collaboration, and work with multiple stakeholders across divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead the expense management and accounting control team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance within the team.
  • Accounting Oversight: Oversee accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Expense Management: Manage the end-to-end invoice processing, exception management, and variance analysis. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve accounting and expenses management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Lead and contribute to process re-engineering initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various divisions and departments to ensure alignment with financial objectives. Handle escalations and inquiries related to expense and accounting.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements. Collaborate with tax authorities and manage external tax-related escalations.
  • Query Management: Address and resolve queries related to expense management and accounting promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/ Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in accounting, expense management, and financial control, ideally in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, global financial analysis.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in process improvement and re-engineering.
  • Proficient in using financial software and tools (ERP Tools: Ariba, SAP S4, TeamConnect, and Field Glass).
  • Ability to handle external escalations effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to the organization's growth.

Compensation: $250,000 - $350,000 per annum, depending on experience.
