Job Overview

As a Technical Program Manager in Infrastructure at Groww, you will lead and oversee complex infrastructure projects, ensuring the successful delivery and management of scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and IT, to drive projects involving both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, particularly leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your role will include strategic planning, execution, and optimization of infrastructure solutions to align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project and Program Management:
    • Develop detailed project plans for infrastructure initiatives, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones.
    • Manage the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
    • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
    • Track project progress, manage budgets, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Technical Oversight:
    • Optimize infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency using GCP tools like Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
    • Ensure that infrastructure solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, leveraging GCP's IAM and security tools.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including executives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate trade-offs to balance project priorities and constraints.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Implement industry best practices for infrastructure management, including automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) using tools like Cloud Deployment Manager and Terraform.
    • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance infrastructure management and operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Security Management:
    • Implement and manage access control policies using GCP's IAM to ensure secure and appropriate access.
    • Develop and manage incident response plans for infrastructure-related issues, utilizing GCP's security features and tools.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with GCP and other third-party service providers, ensuring that SLAs and performance expectations are met.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts and service agreements with vendors to align with project needs.
Qualifications

● Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) are a plus.

● Experience: 4+ years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on infrastructure projects. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is highly desirable.

● Technical Skills: Proficiency in GCP services and architecture, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Kubernetes Engine. Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform is advantageous.

● Project Management: Proven experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).

● Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

● Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of addressing complex technical and project-related issues.
