Job Summary:
Bechtel is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Project Management and Control (PMC) group. The successful candidate will work on electrical engineering projects, utilizing their knowledge of electrical systems and physical designs to ensure project plans and specifications are accurate, constructable, and meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to prepare or review conceptual studies, systems studies, design criteria, equipment sizing calculations, and layout engineering.
- Design, develop, modify, and evaluate components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity, utilizing relevant engineering department procedures, design standards, and guides.
- Coordinate engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.
- Provide technical assistance and interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a PMC is desirable.
- Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods.
- Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved.
- Skill in oral and written communication, demonstrated skill in leadership.
