This is a leadership position responsible for guiding the Quality team in receipt inspection and vendor end inspection. The role involves monitoring and checking precision machined components and other items used for compressors. The goal is to reduce cycle time and maintain company quality standards by minimizing overall quality costs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance to the Quality team for receipt inspection and vendor end inspection.
- Liaise with buyers and customers to improve quality based on lessons learned from quality issues.
- Monitor and guide the team for day-to-day inspection activities and problem resolution based on daily inspection reports.
- Ensure that all quality procedures and work instructions are in practice in the respective area and activities align with quality standards and systems.
- Develop and maintain procedures for effective auditing of suppliers and materials.
- Review and analyze inspection reports, certificates, and comments, as well as non-conformances through NCMR and MRB.
- Drive RCA investigations and CAPA on quality issues to ensure compliance with IMS in the respective work area.
- Ability to demonstrate critical machining inspection during assembly and testing.
- Prepare checklists for inspection activities and inspections as per SE standards, drawings, and related specifications.
- Coordinate various tools, including NCMR, SIR, PPTL, Quality Notification, and present monthly critical metric preparation and execution.
- Keep up to date with compressor and package engineering drawings, optimize testing processes, plan for strategic improvements, and improve company profitability.
- Provide client quality assurance for products and services and assist in achieving optimum quality costs.
- Participate in internal and external client audits, documentation, and inspections, as well as quality intercompany meetings and supplier audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in Quality Control/Assurance, with specific exposure to receipt inspection, machining dimension, and geometrical parameter inspection.
- Leadership experience in managing a team of at least 3-4 engineers for similar work.
- Experience in preparing and verifying checklists, CAPA, and process improvement activities.
- Certified IMS auditor (ISO-9001, ISO-14001, and ISO-45001).
