Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at Copeland. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for handling assigned territories and customers to achieve annual sales targets. Your primary focus will be on generating enquiries and leads from assigned and new customers for transmitters, maintaining healthy customer relationships, and pre-qualifying customer requests for quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate enquiries and leads from assigned and new customers for transmitters.
  • Maintain healthy customer relationships and rapport.
  • Pre-qualify customer requests for quotations by understanding their requirements and exploring opportunities for additional products or services.
  • Collaborate with internal customers during the entire sales cycle.
  • Help customers select the optimum product according to specifications and application, taking into consideration lead-time and budgetary requirements.
  • Pro-actively follow up on quotations with the goal of winning the order.
  • Respond to customer commercial and technical questions within a reasonable time.
  • Verify that purchase orders are in accordance with the offered financial and technical proposal and resolve any issues that occur during the order cycle.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in CRM and other tools as required.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, sales offices, and factories.
  • Forecast and meet monthly and yearly budget numbers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum years of proven experience in industrial automation/instrumentation field.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial processes, industry verticals, sales cycle, and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions.
  • Knowledge of CRM/PowerBi will be an added advantage.
  • Solid understanding of MS Office software like MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Has negotiation skills and ability to work with internal partners and customers.
  • Ability to lead change and alignment on new concepts and approaches through persistence, self-motivation, follow-through, and dedication.
  • Great teammate who builds and maintains positive team member relations.
  • Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering from Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical.
  • Flow meters experience will be an added advantage.
