As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Optum, you will lead the implementation of DevOps best practices for a cutting-edge healthcare application deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role is instrumental in integrating AI-driven automation and managing a Modular Cloud Platform (MCP) architecture to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, architects, and security experts to drive innovation and operational excellence in a regulated healthcare environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Design and manage scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure on GCP, leveraging services like Cloud SQL, GKE, and VPC.
    • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to standardize and automate deployments.
    • Develop and maintain MCP architecture for modular, reusable cloud components.
  • DevOps Automation & CI/CD:
    • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or Jenkins to support continuous integration and delivery.
    • Implement advanced deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling updates) to ensure zero-downtime releases.
    • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment workflows.
  • AI Integration & Observability:
    • Integrate AI/ML models to enhance predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, and auto-remediation.
    • Deploy and manage observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and Splunk for real-time insights.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Enforce cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation.
    • Embed automated security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST, and other healthcare regulations.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Provide expert-level support for production incidents and participate in on-call rotations.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
    • Document architecture and operational procedures for transparency and consistency.
