Job Summary:

The Financial Controller will oversee all cost accounting, financial reporting, and business partnering functions for Nash India Operations and Sales. This role requires a proven leader with experience in manufacturing operations and commercial activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate financial statements, forecasts, and planning cycles on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in accordance with company policies and accounting regulations.
  • Ensure financial plans align with organizational goals and support the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly bridges for the Company.
  • Analyze and interpret financial reports and provide critical insights to local and division management to inform decision-making actions.
  • Develop standard costs for the plant and handle all related cost accounting efforts to measure manufacturing performance against standards.
  • Review capital and major expenditure items to ensure they are approved in accordance with established procedures and properly budgeted.
  • Oversee all plant accounting, including general ledger, cost accounting, fixed assets, inventory, payables, and internal control.
  • Partner with Engineering, Sales, and Project Management for accounting and costing issues related to ETO Projects and Aftermarket business, conducting reviews of costs for ETO projects on a monthly basis and final cost reviews after project completion.
  • Calculate percentage of completion revenue at month end.
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls, including SOX compliance, and satisfy requests from internal and external auditors.
  • Collaborate with the general manager and other functional operations leaders to establish and maintain a 'continuous improvement' momentum resulting in improved business results; support Operational Excellence initiatives as needed.
  • Perform business analytics, identifying business risks/opportunities, and help line staff understand their overall financial results and underlying profitability within their scope of the business's financial results.
  • Partner with business leadership teams to ensure profitability development of the business and margin expansion.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years finance/accounting experience with strong business acumen and broad understanding of financial statements and accounting principles; management experience preferred.
  • Experience with the accounting cycle, AOP, and forecasting.
  • Strong PC/Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel; knowledge of financial systems such as SAP R3 and Hyperion Planning preferred.
  • Effective presentation skills on complex topics to leadership.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English.
