Compliance Testing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Testing Manager to join our team in Bengaluru, India.
As a key member of our Compliance Testing team, you will be responsible for delivering a risk-based programme of second-line compliance for MUFG's EMEA region. You will support both Global Head Offices' assurance programmes and EMEA-based testing, which may include opportunities to travel to offices within EMEA.
Your primary focus will be on contributing to the overall success of Compliance Testing by conducting risk-based thematic and desk Tier 1 reviews of London and EMEA business areas to provide assurance over compliance and conduct risks to key stakeholders.
You will also be responsible for supporting review scoping, tracking, managing, and taking ownership of remediation of compliance issues. Additionally, you will provide regular management information (MI) for senior management and Head Office, as well as supporting Compliance Testing projects as directed.
We require an individual with strong relationship management skills, effective time management, problem-solving, analysis, and reporting skills. You must have excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, and be able to exercise sound judgement and balance risk and practicality to determine appropriate actions/solutions.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in a compliance assurance and testing role gained in a European or US bank is essential. Relevant industry qualifications relating to Compliance are preferred.
With a strong sense of accountability and a proactive approach, you will be able to operate with urgency, prioritise work accordingly, and manage large workloads and tight deadlines. Your excellent interpersonal skills, creativity, and innovative approach to work will enable you to articulate and implement the vision/strategy for the Compliance Testing & QA department.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting risk-based thematic and desk Tier 1 reviews of the London and EMEA business areas
- Supporting the scoping of reviews
- Tracking, managing, and taking ownership of the remediation of compliance issues
- Providing regular MI for management and Head Office
- Supporting Compliance Testing projects as directed
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a compliance assurance and testing role gained in a European or US bank
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
- Strong relationship management skills
- Effective time management, problem-solving, analysis, and reporting skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and balance risk and practicality
- Relevant industry qualifications relating to Compliance preferred
This role offers a competitive salary range of ₹15 lakhs per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
The estimated annual compensation for this position is ₹20 lakhs, considering the location and the level of experience required.
