Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day payroll activities with T2, Payroll TL, and Payroll Manager.
  • Provide assistance to clients on all payroll-related questions.
  • Prepare various payroll reports and distribute them to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Tax and Garnishment teams to ensure a smooth payroll process.
  • Train T2 resources on payroll processes.
  • Prepare process documents for payroll tasks.
  • Review and sign off on payroll transmittal reports.
  • Manage the payroll team in the absence of the TL.
  • Coordinate payroll transmittal activities and ensure timely payroll processing.
  • Prepare detailed RCA for all payroll-related issues/escalations along with preventive actions.
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records.

Desirable Candidate Requirements:

  • 4+ years of expertise in Canada payroll-related laws and tax obligations.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, including V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in payroll testing, mapping, reporting, and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • 3-year Degree/Diploma.
  • Flexibility towards shift (Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm EST). This position may require long hours and weekend work.
  • Candidates with FPC or Canada payroll certification are a plus.
