About the RoleWe're looking for a results-driven Sales Director to lead our sales efforts and maximize revenue potential. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Managing a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team goals
- Overseeing daily business reviews, sales meetings, and training sessions
- Reviewing group contracts for turnover to Event Services
- Carrying an individual goal as part of the team
- Conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual goal-setting sessions
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A university or college degree and/or experience in a related field
- + years' experience as a Group Sales Manager in a similar sized luxury hotel with experience in leading a team
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to articulate the strengths of the hotel and match with the needs of the customer
- Guest-focused with a passion for service excellence
- Works well under pressure in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Strategic mind looking to advance the hotel's revenue targets
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong selling skills to include negotiation and the closing process
- Knowledge of Opera or Property Manager, Microsoft Office, and Windows XP preferred
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
