Job Overview

The Shantilal Muttha Foundation (SMF) is a renowned not-for-profit organization dedicated to education, with a primary focus on implementing the Mulyavardhan program. This innovative initiative aims to develop social, emotional, and ethical skills in primary and middle school children through activity-based interventions. We are seeking a highly motivated and proficient Academic Support Professional to join our team.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct regular school visits to provide academic support to Mulyavardhan teachers, involving classroom observations and constructive feedback.
  2. Engage in discussions with School Principals, teachers, and parents during school visits to monitor progress.
  3. Visit DEO/BEO ADEI/BRCC offices to discuss and update Mulyavardhan progress.
  4. Attend meetings conducted by DEO/BEO ADEI/BRCC to share MV progress, discuss issues/challenges, and seek their support for resolution.
  5. Support CRP, BRP's, and MRP's in conducting quality classroom observations through joint visits.
  6. Develop a detailed work plan for the block in consultation with the Program Manager, ensuring implementation of Mulyavardhan activities according to the plan.
  7. Coordinate and facilitate teacher and CRP trainings in the block.
  8. Coordinate with the block-level officer to ensure timely distribution of MV materials to schools.
  9. Collect required information in the prescribed format and submit it promptly.
  10. Establish good working relationships with block government officials and staff, meeting DEO/BEO/ADEI/BRCC regularly to share school visit updates.
  11. Coordinate the work of other team members to identify and respond to program needs.
  12. Work closely with the State Program Manager to implement planned activities in designated clusters, taluks, and schools.
  13. Participate actively in training sessions, academic, and pedagogical workshops conducted by SMF.
  14. Generate regular progress reports, including weekly/monthly Progress Reports, Quarterly Progress Reports, and other relevant reports, highlighting achievements, findings from assessments, identifying gaps, and formulating a cluster-wide response plan.
  15. Identify and inform own learning/training needs to provide academic/pedagogic support.
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Excellent spoken/written communication skills in English, with good proficiency in Hindi/Marathi or any regional language.
  • Outstanding presentation/delivery skills.
  • Able to relate effectively to trainees at all levels.
  • Multitasking ability with strict timelines adherence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to encourage/motivate people.
  • Hard-working, self-starter, and team player reflecting strong commitment to work.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer skills (MS Office).
  • Knowledge/understanding of national policy documents on education, principles of education, and child psychology will be an added advantage.
  • Brief understanding of the government education system.
Educational Qualification and Experience
  • A Bachelors/Masters Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in education, teaching, or teacher education.
