Job Description

Role Summary

The role is responsible for assessing training and development needs for organizations and developing and administering training programs for employees and leaders. This includes helping service streams strategically plan their training needs and managing the implementation and delivery of training to individuals and groups to develop skills and knowledge. The role also involves creating training manuals, presenting in-person training sessions, and monitoring training for effectiveness. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with other GSCs (GSCZ and GSCN) and Talent Management of Mann Hummel for synergies and support on overall training needs and execution.

Main Tasks

Determines training needs and requirements of GBTS by meeting with line leadership, connecting with employees, or administering surveys, and creates a strategy/plan for training needs. Responsible for competency assessments, identifying improvement areas, and arranging necessary trainings either internally or by coordinating with external training agencies. Works with Global Service Heads/Delivery Leaders/Managers to address learning issues or new training needs regarding specific employees or departments. Monitors service centre training programs and provides periodic status reports, updates, developments, and needs to the line leadership and other stakeholders as needed. During the training period, proactive in highlighting/escalating issues/concerns/areas of improvement/opportunities to the leadership team to get their help as and when needed. Explores and utilizes in-house training sources (LinkedIn, etc.) and comes up/suggests and organizes appropriate trainings for the teams. Specializes in Shared Services Industry and keeps current on the activities and needs of the industry by attending regular meetings, conferences, and seminars. Maintains understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods. Drives digitalization in training and uses digital tools in learning. Develops and assumes onboarding training responsibility in GBTS India, responsible for communication assessments, identifying gaps, and suggesting development areas. Communication development, email etiquette/management, and other soft skills trainings. Reviews existing training materials that are available and determines their appropriateness and relevance. Modifies or creates course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs. Presents in-person and online training sessions or hires qualified personnel to do so. Schedules training sessions, organizes information technology and other equipment, and manages course enrollment.

Your Profile

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work and team effectively with other teams within GBTS and management personnel, including on a global, virtual basis. Problem-solving, critical thinking, planning skills, time management, attention to detail, decision-making. Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service. Ability to communicate both upward and downward within the organization, as well as across functions and organization. Experience developing yearly training plans and materials for all departments throughout the company. Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously. Ability to manage assigned tasks well and initiates/recommends changes in plan when appropriate. Demonstrated ability to drive/deliver results. Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.

We Offer

Overall, 12+ years of experience, out of which minimum 5+ years in Training and Development (must) in BPO or Shared Services Center (must). Graduation/MBA in any discipline from any reputed educational institutions. Experience analyzing company needs, lesson planning, development, and implementation. Extensive knowledge teaching theory for creating effective creating instructional materials.
