Role Summary

This role involves playing a key part in shaping the academic and career paths of undergraduate students pursuing higher education abroad. As an Undergraduate Study Abroad Counselor, your primary responsibility will be to guide students step-by-step in discovering their dream university and program, aligning them with their academic and career goals.

  • You will assist students with undergraduate university and course selection, provide guidance on scholarships, application processes, and financial aid options.
  • Help students build their profiles, including guidance on SOPs, LORs, resume editing, and interview preparation.
  • Advise students on visa processes for key study-abroad destinations such as the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and more.
  • Establish clear follow-up mechanisms with students and partner universities to ensure a smooth application process.
  • Stay updated on the latest information and utilize technology to provide real-time, high-quality counseling services.
  • Assist students in preparing necessary documents for their applications, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Provide daily support to students to address any concerns, follow up on their applications, and liaise with universities and internal teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong listening abilities, and at least one year of experience in overseas education counseling, particularly for undergraduate students.

Familiarity with the admission processes for top universities in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and other study-abroad destinations is also essential. A strong willingness to learn and adapt is required, along with graduation or a master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related fields. Tech-savvy individuals who are comfortable working with digital tools for providing counseling services are preferred.

Based on industry standards and the location in Mumbai, Nariman Point, we estimate the salary for this role to be around ₹35-45 lakhs per annum, depending on experience.
