Product Owner - Financial Systems Analyst

At American Express, we're looking for a skilled Product Owner to join our Automation CoE in Controllership. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in creating state-of-the-art automation solutions that drive process excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and rapidly iterate new solutions with a product-centric mindset.
  • Partner with business/end users to understand business needs, translate to technical requirements, and take ownership of leading agile product owner responsibilities.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog, define product features, user stories, and perform end-user acceptance testing to drive delivery and results that benefit end users.
  • Foster an external perspective in delivering solutions by understanding the industry landscape to drive modernization of existing platforms.
  • Define product scope and objectives, ensure compliance with standards and best practices, and drive risk management, analysis, and issue tracking.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in agile development methodology.
  • Understanding of Amex's systems and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting and understanding of Oracle ERP.
  • Product owner certification.
  • Master's degree.
  • Agile certified.
