Job Description

Accor is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join their team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus and recipes that meet the hotel's quality and safety standards.
  • Manage the kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and staff supervision.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage services meet the hotel's standards and policies.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food and beverages are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef and other department heads to ensure that the hotel's food and beverage operations are aligned with the company's overall strategy.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional food and beverage services.
  • Manage the kitchen budget and ensure that all expenses are controlled and optimized.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts to stay ahead of the competition and meet changing customer preferences.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage services are provided in a safe and healthy environment, and that all relevant health and safety regulations are complied with.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing food production and culinary operations in a hotel or similar environment.
  • Diploma from a reputable hospitality management or culinary school.
  • Additional certification(s) in food and beverage will be an advantage.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language.
  • Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of professionalism with sound human resources management and business acumen capabilities.
