Job Overview:

As a Senior Research Associate, you will contribute to the development of new skincare formulations and improve existing ones. Your role will involve hands-on lab work, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product safety, compliance, and alignment with market needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Formulation & Development: Lead the development of innovative skincare formulations from concept to production scale-up, focusing on ingredient selection, efficacy, and stability.
  • Product Testing & Evaluation: Perform and oversee testing for product stability, safety, and performance, conducting in-vitro and in-vivo testing when necessary, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ingredient Research: Conduct research on active ingredients, raw materials, and new technologies in the skincare industry, staying updated with trends and innovations to incorporate into formulations.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze experimental data and generate detailed reports on findings, presenting results and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure formulations meet consumer expectations and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in formulation development, preferably in skincare, cosmetics, or personal care products.
  • Strong understanding of skin biology and the science behind cosmetic ingredients.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for cosmetic products, such as FDA and EU regulations.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
