We are seeking a visionary Chief Industrial Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design leadership, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our next-generation energy solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of customer-centric research and market insights. You will lead the end-to-end design of 1-phase and 3-phase LT/HT meters and rack-mounted devices, ensuring every product embodies simplicity, consistency, and innovation.

Your expertise will be instrumental in defining products that are not only functional but also distinctive, reliable, and aligned with our brand identity. You will translate customer needs and business requirements into minimalist, brand-consistent designs that balance cost efficiency, durability, and ease of manufacturing.

Beyond aesthetics, your work will set new benchmarks for usability, manufacturability, and scalability—positioning us as a design leader in the smart energy space.

About the Role:

As a Chief Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting in-depth field visits with utilities and AMISPs to gather insights and requirements
  • Translating insights into comprehensive Design Requirements Documents that serve as blueprints for product development
  • Leading the industrial design of next-generation 1P & 3P LT/HT meters and rack-mounted devices
  • Defining a minimalist, brand-consistent design language that delivers on functionality, aesthetics, cost, and reliability
  • Driving initiatives that reduce total cost of ownership while enhancing manufacturability and scalability

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field (preferably from NID or top-tier institutes)
  • 10–15 years of experience in industrial design, ideally with high-volume electronic or hardware products
  • Proven track record of translating customer and market insights into successful, user-centric product designs
  • Strong expertise in field research, usability studies, requirement gathering, and manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead small, high-performing design teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across technical and leadership levels
