Job Title: Senior Draftsperson

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Draftsperson to prepare detailed technical drawings and plans for US-based architectural, civil, and mechanical engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in CAD software and the ability to interpret design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software for architectural, civil, and mechanical projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and design specifications.
  • Modify and update drawings based on feedback from clients and design teams.
  • Ensure compliance with US industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Maintain project documentation, organize files, and update drawings as required.
  • Coordinate with international teams and adapt to time zone differences for effective communication.
  • Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and construction documents.
  • Provide support in the review of project designs and identify potential issues or inconsistencies in the plans.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably with international clients, especially in the US market.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software.
  • Knowledge of US building codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
  • Education: A degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex design documents and blueprints.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with US clients and internal teams.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and solve design discrepancies quickly and efficiently.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience working with US-based clients or projects is highly desirable.
  • Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate time zone differences.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
