This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Hitachi Energy India Limited as an Electrical Design Platform Developer. As a key member of our Transformer technology center in Vadodara, IN, you will work on global projects and organizations, driving innovation and excellence in electrical design.

Your Responsibilities

  • Act as a communication channel between engineering teams, R&D teams on Traction transformers, and design tool development teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop traction transformer electrical design software, including testing, debugging, validation, implementation, and documentation.
  • Continuously update or create implementation and user manual documentation, ensuring it is accurate, comprehensive, and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with agile teams and in a stimulating multi-cultural environment, assuming part of the electrical design tool implementation of our traction transformer used globally.
  • Understand the landscape of software applications that need to interact with the Design Systems and develop software solutions to foster communication.
  • Manage different tasks in the design project, handling interactions with further electrical tools as well as with mechanical design tools to improve the design process and efficiency.
  • Discuss Bug Reports and Change Requests with local Hitachi Energy units and decide on priorities and actions with the Design System manager.
  • Provide feedback and influence global improvement projects with proposals of innovative solutions and ideas for design optimization and product development.
  • Contribute to data ingestion processes and assist in the development of AI applications as part of ongoing project efforts.
  • Embody Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your Background

  • Bachelor studies in Electrical Engineering, Software Development, or IT with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Electrical design knowledge and Transformer design skills are a plus.
  • Interest in AI and data ingestion processes.
  • Software development skills in VBA, SQL, MatLab, Python, and algorithms.
  • Strong team player with flexible, pro-active, result-oriented, and independent working skills.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
