About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team and lead customer quality initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to work with top-tier automotive companies and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain open communication with quality staff at customer sites to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Participate in regular quality briefing meetings to discuss ongoing projects and address any concerns.
  • Communicate customer expectations to site teams and facilitate the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Lead the elimination of line failures and coordinate cooperation between the site and customer.
  • Ensure the normal flow of production is maintained quickly.
  • Characterize problems using the 5W2H method, conduct first-level analysis, and send reports to concerned authorities.
  • Speed up the return of bad parts and arrange for good parts to be compared, if possible.
  • Manage sorting operations, prepare instruction sheets, follow progress, report time spent, and present results.
  • Challenge PDCA analysis and escalate to higher levels if necessary.
  • React quickly to dissatisfied customers, send information to Valeo sites, and escalate if required.
  • Protect customers by managing sorting operations, implementing surveys, and conducting preventive inspections.
  • Present PDCA/FTA-LLC analyses with representatives or on behalf of the Product Groups or Business Groups.
  • Serve as the point of access for customer contacts seeking information or a contact at Valeo.
  • Provide detailed information about the customer's organization and operating methods.
  • Define and communicate backup Valeo contacts when unavailable.
  • Support Product Groups or Business Groups in communicating issues under customer responsibility detected on Valeo lines.
  • Support Product Groups or Business Groups in case of language issues with the customer.
  • Assist in developing New Vehicle Programs by:
    • Identifying planned launches within the next 24 months with the customer, Valeo Plants, and Business Warehouse.
    • Identifying Valeo products involved in new projects, including both new parts and carryover components & systems.
    • Supporting Project Teams with alignment of Customer Project Milestones, Deliverables, and Terminology.
    • Requesting and using existing Project Key data to support project teams and evaluate risks.
    • Confirming Lessons Learned in current applications / customer plants that could be applied to new launches.
    • Defining Launch Readiness Review Plans for key milestones.
    • Supporting trial build reviews at Customer plant, and Valeo Sites where possible, to ensure robust Control Plan, capability, and launch readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this role is $90,000 - $120,000, depending on location and experience.
