Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sports Development Coach to join our team. As a key member of our coaching staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality sports sessions tailored to the unique needs of each child.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging sports programs for children with disabilities, focusing on physical development, fun, and inclusivity.
  • Adapt standard sports activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of each child, ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout their journey.
  • Collaborate closely with other coaches, therapists, and volunteers to create individualized coaching plans that promote positive outcomes and celebrate success.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all participants during sessions, prioritizing their well-being and safety above all else.
  • Monitor and track each child's progress, providing constructive feedback to parents and caregivers while celebrating their achievements.
  • Support the organization in planning and executing events, competitions, and community outreach programs that foster a sense of belonging among our participants.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in adaptive sports coaching, attending training sessions and workshops as required to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to maintaining equipment and resources, ensuring seamless operation of our sports programs and supporting the growth of our team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong passion for working with children, especially those with disabilities, and a commitment to creating an inclusive environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations, embracing continuous professional development and growth.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, participants, and families.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, essential for creating a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of various sports and the ability to adapt them for children with different abilities.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and handle varying schedules, demonstrating a willingness to go the extra mile.
