About this role


We are seeking an experienced IT Procurement and Software Asset Manager to join our team at Certara. As a key member of our Information Technology organization, this role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of IT Procurement & Asset Management (ITAM) activities.


The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement operations and software asset management, with experience in managing contracts, relationships, and vendor communications. They will be responsible for planning, procuring, and scheduling the acquisition of IT hardware, software, and related items, as well as maintaining accurate asset utilization tracking and inventory levels.


This is an individual contributor role that requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills. The candidate should be comfortable leveraging the skills of cross-functional teams to gain successful outcomes.


Key Responsibilities



  • Procurement and contract management
  • Software asset management, including identification of savings opportunities and development of policies and procedures
  • Inventory management and tracking
  • Maintenance of vendor relationships and communication
  • Reporting and analytics
  • Support of operational standards, diagrams, policies, and procedures
  • Participation in IT projects and drive to consistency of operations

Qualifications



  • 6+ years of related experience in an IT support organization
  • Experience in conducting software vendor audits
  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes and experience with Discovery tool
  • Ability to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary
  • Capacity to consider governance and regulatory constraints
  • Proven researching ability
  • Advanced Excel skills to facilitate "Charge-back" & "Show-back" reports as required
