About Our Network Engineering Team
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Global Networks – Enterprise Network team, you will play a critical role in creating and improving network services and solutions that ensure the best experience for Marriott Associates and contractors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation: You will be responsible for designing and implementing LAN/WAN/WiFi networks that meet the highest standards of architecture, security, privacy, compliance, etc.
- Service Management: You will ensure optimal performance and availability of network services and circuits.
- Project Planning and Delivery: You will lead hardware and software specification, vendor coordination, full operational turnover, and project planning and delivery.
- Change Management: You will minimize/eliminate service downtime through effective change planning and run book review.
- Vendor Management: You will govern third-party service providers and provide Level 3 escalation support for operational issues/outages.
- Collaboration: You will work closely with key teams including Network Architects, Test and Certification, Information Security, Finance, Procurement, etc.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience: You must have progressive experience in enterprise networking with a focus on wireless, SD-WAN, and LAN infrastructure.
- Expertise: You must have expertise in enterprise wireless protocols, RF site surveys, and security best practices.
- SD-WAN experience: You must have proven hands-on experience with SD-WAN policy configuration, site provisioning, and performance tuning.
- Fabric-based LAN architectures: You must have a strong understanding and implementation experience with Fabric-based LAN architectures (e.g., Cisco LAN Fabric, HP Flex Fabric).
- Networking concepts: You must be proficient in Layer 2/3 networking concepts, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, multicast.
- Network monitoring tools: You must be skilled in network monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tools (Wireshark, Net Brain, Thousand Eyes, ADEM).

- Vendor experience: You must have experience with vendors such as Cisco LAN/WAN/WiFi; HPE/Mist WiFi; Palo Alto Networks FW and SDWA NetScout, Thousand Eyes, NetMRI, ServiceNow, Oracle SBCs and VOIP.
- Education: You must have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience/certification.
