Financial Analyst with Strong Accounting Skills

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing financial guidance and support to our leadership team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing financial consultation and guidance to senior leaders on accounting-related matters
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and financial statements
- Collecting and reviewing financial data for regulatory reports and financial analysis
- Ensuring data accuracy by reviewing reports from various financial systems
- Preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and certifications
- Analyzing financial accounting procedures, methods, and systems to identify areas for improvement
- Providing ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal controls policies
- Offering functional advice and training to team members
- Supporting compliance and risk management requirements
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the enterprise to drive business growth
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- At least 6 months of finance experience, or equivalent experience gained through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Qualified Chartered Accountants with less than 1 year of post-qualification experience in the banking and financial services industry
- Knowledge of financial services and products, including accounting treatment under US GAAP and IFRS
- A self-motivated and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently within a team structure
- An innovative mindset and a track record of process enhancement
- Understanding of best-in-class expectations for controls and governance
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and accurately
- The ability to learn quickly and think critically, with good problem-solving skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of 'NextGen' tools such as Tableau, Confluence, Alteryx, and Workiva
- Flexibility with a 1:30 PM - 10:30 PM shift
The estimated salary for this role is between $65,000 and $90,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
This role is based in the United States, and the salary will be adjusted accordingly. The specific salary will be discussed during the hiring process.
