Key Responsibilities
  • Support, administer, and implement hosted infrastructure components and associated software and services, including file and print servers, application servers, database servers, storage area networks, virtualization platforms, remote user access for VPN and property access, local area networks, wide area networks, and wireless hardware and circuits.
  • Support, administer, and configure cloud infrastructure components and associated software and services, including Microsoft Azure with a focus on infrastructure as a service, and Microsoft Office 365 with a focus on Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, mobile device management, and M365 security and compliance.
  • Be hands-on with daily operations and perform system maintenance activities for all on-premises and cloud infrastructure components.
  • Implement directory service security and group policy to support various infrastructure components.
  • Perform system backup and recovery activities, including daily monitoring of backup jobs, and regularly scheduled testing of restore processes.
  • Build and maintain documentation for all technical aspects of infrastructure, including developing run books and standard operating procedures.
  • Assess architecture and technical specifications to meet functional needs and IT standards.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to support and deliver infrastructure and technical solutions in hosted and cloud environments.
  • As required, work directly with users and executives to provide escalation support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10 years of progressive experience with LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Experience with 3rd party vendor interaction in hosted environments and familiarity with outsourced tier 1 support models.
  • Technical problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot and resolve system infrastructure issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to speak diplomatically and function as a team player.
  • Planning and organization skills necessary to prioritize and coordinate own workload within a multiple project setting.
  • Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity, and evolving environment.
  • Demonstrate a strategic/global mindset by determining opportunities and threats through analysis of current and future trends.
  • Ability to have fun and enjoy the work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Working knowledge of advanced support services for Microsoft-related technologies, including Windows Server, Clustering, SQL, and SharePoint.
  • Expert knowledge of Active Directory user and computer policy configuration options.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of MS Operating Systems and RDS/Terminal Services.
  • Expert knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Class Storage systems, HPE Nimble / Alletra is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure technologies: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security, Fortinet experience is preferred.
  • Working Knowledge of IP designs, in a multi-tenant and multi-data center environment with fail-over & high available capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of Disaster Prevention, Recovery, and Business Continuity concepts and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of change management concepts, practices, and procedures.
