Job Description


A Medical Content Specialist will compile, write, and edit medical writing deliverables, serving as a medical writer within and across departments with moderate supervision.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Develops or supports a variety of documents, including clinical study protocols and reports, patient narratives, and investigator brochures.
  • Reviews statistical analysis plans and provides feedback on content, grammar, format, and consistency.
  • Interacts with department heads and staff members in data management, biostatistics, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs to produce writing deliverables.
  • Adheres to established regulatory standards, including ICH-E3 guidelines, Company Standard Operating Procedures, client standards, and approved templates.
  • Performs online clinical literature searches, continues professional development to stay current with regulatory guidance and client expectations, and works within budget specifications.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in medical writing.
  • Experience in both authoring and reviewing.
  • Master's or Doctoral degrees with relevant scientific and/or medical knowledge and expertise.
  • Excellent communication skills and extensive knowledge of English grammar, with familiarity with AMA style guide.
  • Understanding of FDA and ICH regulations and guidelines strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective presentation, proofreading, and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented approach.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to interpret and present clinical data and other complex information.
