We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team in Kolkata. As a key member of our site-based HR function, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing industrial relations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in HR administration to work with a leading metals and mining company in Kolkata. Your primary focus will be on supporting the smooth operation of our site-based HR function, ensuring effective communication with employees, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Industrial Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, management, and unions to ensure a harmonious working environment.
- Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the site HR manager, including preparation of reports, correspondence, and presentations.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Coordinate recruitment activities, including shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Employee Relations: Manage employee queries, concerns, and issues in a fair and timely manner, ensuring that all disputes are resolved effectively.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, benefits, and other employee-related tasks.
- Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee data, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Training and Development: Plan, coordinate, and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by identifying and mitigating potential hazards, adhering to health and safety protocols, and conducting regular audits.
- Education: MBA in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in an HR administrative role, preferably within the metals and mining industry.
- Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with HR software and databases.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
