Job Summary:

The Network Administrator at Clearwater Analytics plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's network infrastructure. This includes overseeing network design, enhancements, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have expertise in network protocols, routing, and switching technologies, as well as experience with cloud-based network configuration management and network security principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Design, configure, and maintain server infrastructure related to network infrastructure, such as DHCP and DNS servers, NAC, IPAM, etc.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
  • Implement and manage network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Collaborate with security teams to perform regular network audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security risks.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of network systems with other technologies.
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Manage network documentation, including network diagrams, IP address assignments, and equipment inventory.
  • Assist with the procurement and installation of network equipment and services.
  • Maintain latest industry trends and best practices in network administration.
  • Provide escalated technical support and troubleshoot assistance to end-users.
  • Monitor network capacity and bandwidth utilization to ensure optimal performance.

Required Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
  • Proficiency in network configuration and management tools, such as Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, and/or Palo Alto PAN-OS.
  • Experience with cloud-based network configuration management, SASE, and ZTNA.
  • Experience with network tools, such as Wireshark, Netbox, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices, including VPNs, firewalls, SASE, ZTNA, and IPS/IDS, etc.
  • Familiar with Linux and Windows Server system administration.
  • Knowledge of best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, IGP and EGP, application network performance, etc.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or certification equivalency in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certifications desired: CCNP, DevNet Certifications, JCNIP-ENT, PCNSE.
