We're seeking a seasoned legal expert to lead our legal function as Chief Legal Officer. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and extensive legal expertise to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, mitigate risks, and support business objectives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our legal strategy, identifying legal risks and opportunities, and providing guidance on key legal issues affecting the business. They will oversee contract management, regulatory compliance, litigation management, corporate governance, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the organization's legal strategy aligned with its overall goals and objectives.
  • Identify legal risks and opportunities and devise strategies to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities.
  • Provide legal guidance to senior management on key legal issues affecting the business.
Requirements:

To excel in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree from a good law school and a minimum of 14+ years of experience practicing law, with 4+ years in a Legal role with B2B SaaS organizations. You should have a proven track record of successfully managing legal matters and providing strategic legal advice in a corporate environment.

A strong leadership presence, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to think strategically are essential. You should also have startup experience, having worked in a US-based organization. Integrity, professionalism, and high ethical conduct are non-negotiable.
