Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Dreamcast. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services by implementing and executing comprehensive testing processes. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in driving quality improvements within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Testing Strategies: Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures to ensure high product quality and ensure that products meet the required standards.
  • Identify and Analyze Defects: Identify, analyze, and document defects, errors, and inconsistencies in software and applications, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure that they are met through testing.
  • Conduct Usability Testing: Conduct usability testing to identify areas for improvement to enhance user experience and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain Testing Documentation: Create and maintain testing documentation, including test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
  • Participate in Product Design Reviews: Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential issues.
  • Conduct Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing for new releases and updates to existing applications to ensure that they meet the required standards.
  • Utilize Testing Tools and Methodologies: Utilize various testing tools and methodologies to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide Timely and Accurate Feedback: Provide timely and accurate feedback to internal teams on product quality and performance.
  • Support Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and quality improvements.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Best Practices: Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies to enhance testing processes.
  • Communicate Test Results and Quality Issues: Communicate test results and quality issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in Post-Launch Activities: Participate in post-launch activities, including monitoring and analyzing user feedback and product performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist, QA Tester, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Testing Methodologies: Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Strong Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle: Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Test Management Tools: Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Testing Techniques: Advanced knowledge of testing techniques for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Ability to Analyze Complex Systems: Ability to analyze complex systems and processes to identify quality improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-Oriented Approach: Detail-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year. Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. Location: Remote or on-site at Dreamcast headquarters. The estimated salary is based on the title, job description, and location.
