Senior Application Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Security Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for conducting comprehensive security assessments of web applications, mobile apps, and APIs to identify vulnerabilities and ensure timely remediation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application security engineering, including hands-on experience with application security assessments, penetration testing, and secure development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security testing and vulnerability assessments for various applications
  • Assist in the identification, analysis, and prioritization of vulnerabilities
  • Support the development and execution of secure coding practices and application security guidelines
  • Monitor and interpret vulnerability scanning results to identify trends and root causes
  • Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones to maintain and improve security processes and tools

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Relevant certifications in infrastructure security and vulnerability management (e.g., CISSP, OSCP, GCVA, CEH)
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience with a strong background in vulnerability management and security engineering
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented approach to identifying and addressing vulnerabilities

Technical Skills Requirements

Application Security Assessments: Proficiency with application security assessment tools and methodologies, including Burp Suite, Veracode, and HCL AppScan.

Secure Development Practices: Familiarity with secure coding practices, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and application development processes.

Cloud Platforms: Experience working with cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create reports and collaborate with internal teams.
