About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Physical Design Manager to lead our design implementation team and drive the next generation of innovative designs. This role includes managing a team of 10+ designers responsible for synthesis, physical design, timing, and physical closure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a large team of internal and external resources to deliver SOC chips on schedule with high quality of results (QOR).
  • Oversee the physical implementation of block-level and subsystem-level designs, including synthesis, power reduction, timing convergence, and floorplanning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless design execution.
Preferred Experience:
  • Proven track record of successfully managing PD teams for complex SOC projects.
  • In-depth understanding and experience in all physical design activities for large technology SOC ASIC chips.
  • Strong management, technical problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with partner teams.
  • Experience with front-end design, design-for-manufacturability (DFX), and physical design flows.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard PNR tools, including Synopsys ICC2, ICC, Design Compiler, PrimeTime, StarRC, Mentor Graphics Calibre, and Apache Redhawk.
  • Hands-on experience with 7nm and sub-7nm projects.
  • Proficiency in full-chip floorplanning, PNR partitioning, and bump placement.
  • Experience in low-power and high-performance design.
  • Responsible for delivering block-level layouts on time with exceptional quality.
  • Self-driven ability and problem-solving skills with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • BE/B.Tech/ME/M.TECH or equivalent ECE/EEE degree.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in physical design, with at least 3 years of people management experience.
Salary:

$150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
