About Mumbai Industry Analytics Group
The Mumbai Industry Analytics Group is a team of experts who work with Investment Banking teams globally to provide high-quality analysis and insights. Our team is responsible for building materials for capital market transactions, M&A advisory pitches, and transactions.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will work on various Investment Banking analyses, including market valuation, financial analysis, and impact of corporate transactions on earnings and other key financial indicators.
Responsibilities
- Conduct industry research and prepare industry and market overviews
- Analyze specific companies, including business operations, financial information, and operational KPIs
- Develop relative valuation models, including comparable and precedent transaction analysis
- Prepare newsletters on specific industries or companies for senior management
- Partner with the team to ensure high-quality output and manage deliverables
Our team works closely with Investment Banking teams to provide analysis and insights that help them advise and service their clients in areas such as M&A, financings, and strategic advisory. For equity offerings, our analysts may work with IB teams to build parts of the DRHP, including industry analysis, financial valuations, and roadshow presentations.
Eligibility Criteria & Key Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of accounting and corporate finance concepts
- Analytical approach with good attention to detail
- Project management skills, with a focus on delivering client-ready work products
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work in teams, with a focus on self-accountability, constructive dialogue, and sharing best practices
- Champions progress, with a focus on innovative idea generation and improvement of existing approaches
- Decision-making and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on raising the right questions and communicating team conflicts with integrity and credibility
- Risk management skills, with a focus on recognizing and respecting confidentiality of information
