Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Data Science Specialist to join our team at TAT24 IT CONSULTING PRIVATE LIMITED. This is an exciting opportunity for a data scientist with experience in classical machine learning and Python programming.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering multiple machine learning projects, including implementation in production. They will work on a variety of data science projects, utilizing their expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, regression, and number crunching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop machine learning models to optimize product pricing strategies and predict customer response to different price points
  • Implement simulators to predict future performance of promotional campaigns and analyze what types of promotions are most effective
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of various promotions and develop tailored customer experiences using machine learning to customize call scripts, marketing schemes, and promotional offers based on individual customer data and behavior
  • Optimize asset allocation to achieve the highest possible ROI by identifying high-impact locations based on sales data and predictive analytics
  • Divide retail clients or point-of-sale locations into distinct segments to design targeted incentive programs, improving marketing efficiency and customer engagement
  • Predict future sales trends using time series analysis and machine learning models, helping clients plan production and manage inventory more effectively

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in classical machine learning with expertise in Python and a focus on statistical analysis, time series forecasting, predictive modeling, and regression techniques
  • Robust number-crunching abilities, particularly applied to retail, FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) sectors
  • Experience converting a business problem into a data science problem
  • A strong grasp of ML and Time Series fundamentals and their applications in business
  • Proficiency in Python, including experience leading or guiding a team of data scientists/ML engineers
  • Familiarity with relational databases and intermediate-level knowledge of SQL
  • A team player who can deliver under pressure
  • An eye for detail, quick learner, and able to think out of the box
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms
  • Experience working with large data sets and tools like MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc. and large data streaming technologies like Spark, etc.
