Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Finance Manager to oversee the financing of all solar projects in India and to manage the day-to-day activities/relationship with lenders. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project finance, with a focus on renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financing of all solar projects in India
  • Manage the day-to-day activities/relationship with lenders
  • Manage existing External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) with the AD Bank and lead prospective ECB
  • Structuring changes on the India business in coordination with the Legal Counsel
  • Drafting and vetting of MOA, MOU, Bank guarantee, Indemnity Bonds, if any, Undertakings, and authority letters, vendor contracts, donor contracts, framing disclaimers in our contracts, etc.
  • Vetting, consultation, and coordination with external lawyers to ensure documents are legally sound
  • Monitor activities related to financial aspects of Project Planning & Development of future projects or expansion/upgradations in existing projects

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience with Project Finance (preferably in the renewable energy sector)
  • Prior work experience with External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) Development Finance Corporations, etc. is a plus
  • M&A experience would be a plus
  • Chartered Accountant would be preferred
  • Strong experience in negotiating & finalising Lender Contracts and Agreements
  • Experience in the Renewable energy sector is a plus

Skills:

  • Advanced skills in financial modelling
  • Advanced skills in legal documentation negotiation
  • Masters Degree in Finance/Chartered Accountant would be a plus
  • Software: Good knowledge of MS Office pack & Tally. Should be open to learning new tools
  • Strong ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Languages: English (Professional) Hindi. Basic knowledge of French would be a plus
