Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Compensation and Benefits Specialist with in-depth knowledge of US taxes to join our team in Chennai, India. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and compliant compensation processing for employees in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end compensation processing for US-based employees, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of US tax laws, including federal, state, and local tax withholding, to ensure compliance.
  • Administer tax filings and ensure that all compensation taxes are accurately withheld and remitted.
  • Handle compensation deductions, adjustments, and contributions such as benefits, 401(k), and garnishments.
  • Reconcile compensation accounts and resolve any discrepancies in reports.
  • Maintain accurate compensation records and generate reports as required.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure compensation accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in US tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding compensation, taxes, and deductions in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in US compensation processing, with a strong understanding of US tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in compensation software and tools, with the ability to manage large compensation volumes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in compensation processing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain compensation matters clearly to employees.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in HR, Finance, and Compliance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet compensation deadlines.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
