Network Technology Manager

Key Responsibilities
As a Network Technology Manager at Microland, you will be responsible for managing the overall network technology infrastructure for the business. This includes planning and executing new technology rollouts, scope expansion, and ensuring team readiness from a technical standpoint. You will also be responsible for managing SOPs, knowledge documents, and KB articles. Additionally, you will implement technical methodology improvements based on past failures and learnings.
Issue Resolution and Triage
You will identify network issues through troubleshooting and decide on the necessary actions to resolve the issue. You will refer to required KEDBs or knowledge bases for known issues and resolution steps, and implement the steps, execute, validate, and update the ticket with the steps taken and outcome. If the issue is not resolved or is unknown, you will escalate the ticket to an L3 Network SME and support the troubleshooting process, including coordination with 3rd party network vendor technicians.
Process Compliance and Reporting
You will gather information from vendors, customers, and analysis from the troubleshooting/investigation, and update tickets regularly as per the defined process. You will also prepare a detailed report on the plan of action for existing tickets for the next shift engineer (Shift Handover Report). Additionally, you will follow through and execute various Escalation Matrices (Vendor, Internal, and Customer defined) and maintain inventory of Network equipment and links. You will constantly track tickets for SLA adherence and escalate on deviations as defined in the process.
Value Proposition and Improvement
You will understand the existing environment and propose opportunities for improvement. You will look at nagging issues in the environment and come up with Get Around solutions by working with vendors and industry experts.
