Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Planning Lead to join our team at Emerson. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials to our factory operations, avoiding delays and line stoppages.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and implement quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily production plans.
  • Prepare reports for business processes and collaborate with other departments.
  • Release planned orders to production release.
  • Review scheduled sales orders and provide promise dates based on available-to-promise output.
  • Coordinate and verify production routings and work orders based on bill of materials.
  • Review shortages for work orders and expedite the purchase team for timely material procurement.
  • Release work orders to the shop floor according to the schedule.
  • Expedite the warehouse for issuing work orders, shop, and QC/QA for timely product delivery.
  • Review planning when sales order specifications, drawings, and BOMs are revised, resulting in additional or modified materials in work orders and shop planning.
  • Maintain planning files for sales orders from entry to final product delivery.
  • Arrange subcontract work orders for items requiring powder coating, painting, machining, and fabrication.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Engineering degree with relevant planning and scheduling experience, totaling 6-10 years.
  • A high level of integrity and trust.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills.
  • Basic finance and costing knowledge is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 management systems and corporate safety and occupational health management is preferred.
  • You must be a self-driven and self-motivated leader.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is an added advantage.
