Network Security Professional

We are seeking a seasoned Network Security Professional to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining network security policies, standards, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Security Expertise: Possess CCNP (Routing & Switching) and CCNP (Security) certifications or equivalent.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 10-12 years in network security, with at least 5 years specializing in Fortinet/Cisco Firewalls and IPS.
  • Firewall Management: Proficient in managing Firewall and NIPS solutions.
  • Operating System Expertise: Experienced in working with Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
  • Solution Implementation: Hands-on experience in commissioning and implementing various Firewall & NIPS solutions and integrating them with management and authentication/authorization tools.
  • Policies and Exceptions: Skilled in managing policies and exceptions.
  • Troubleshooting Tools: Experienced in using packet capture, analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiar with firewall, NIPS, SSL, Routing Protocols, Dual Factor Authentication, and other relevant technologies.
  • Incident and Problem Management: Involved in incident, problem, service request management, change management, configuration management, and capacity management of Firewall & NIPS setups.
  • Daily Configuration Changes: Perform day-to-day BAU configuration changes.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Utilize network monitoring tools to isolate events before service degradation occurs.
  • Incident Response: Support incident monitoring and incident analysis/response initiatives.
  • User Coordination: Coordinate with users to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution for any trouble tickets.
  • Troubleshooting OSI Layers: Troubleshoot layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI Model.
  • Security Patching: Apply security patches as required.
  • Device Performance Checks: Conduct daily performance checks on devices, perform periodic audits, and ensure compliance.
  • Immediate Troubleshooting: Perform immediate troubleshooting as needed for any network outages reported by users, sensors, and/or operational personnel.
  • Network Security Policy: Implement and maintain network security policy, standards, and procedures.
  • Access List and Firewall Policies: Deploy and maintain access-list and firewall policies.
  • Service Levels: Maintain service levels and oversee day-to-day configuration, administration, and monitoring of the network security infrastructure in a 24/7 environment.
  • OEM Coordination: Coordinate with OEMs for TAC support, RMA, replacement, and reconfiguration of faulty Firewalls/NIPS.
  • Documentation Creation: Create technical documentation, as-build network diagrams, inventory control documentation, and security documentation.
  • Firewall and NIPS Incident Resolution: Investigate, isolate, and resolve firewall & NIPS incidents with RCA.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate helpdesk team, other IT support teams, application support teams to jointly troubleshoot and fix high-priority/severity incidents.
  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement firewall, Site-to-Site VPNs, and IDS/IPS solutions for DC/DR/Cloud and Branch office environments.
  • Knowledgebase Creation: Create and update knowledgebase in ITSM tools.
  • Automation and Integration: Identify areas for automation of operational efficiency, automate and integrate tools with REST API/SDK, and create a security dashboard, Infosec tools.
  • Patch Updates and Compliance: Perform patch updates, upgrade Firewalls & NIPS as per compliance and audit requirements, and close compliance and audit points within agreed timelines.
