Job Title: Staff Software Development Engineer in Test

About Us: Procore Technologies is a leading provider of cloud-based construction management software. We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team.

Job Summary: As a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of automated testing strategies for mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. You will work closely with our engineering team to design and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Appium, Espresso, and XCTest.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of automated testing strategies for mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.
  • Design and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Appium, Espresso, and XCTest.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure seamless and efficient testing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and QA engineers to define and implement test plans and strategies.
  • Mentor and guide junior SDETs and QA engineers on best practices in mobile automation testing.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with development teams to resolve them.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • 5+ years of experience in mobile automation testing for Android and iOS platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams.
  • Strong proficiency with automation tools such as Appium.
  • Solid programming skills in Java, Kotlin, and Swift.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and CircleCI.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
