Compliance Manager & Governance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to assume the role of Compliance Manager & Governance Officer.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements and maintaining effective corporate governance practices.

  • Compliance Oversight:
  • Maintain awareness of all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines affecting the company's operations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance frameworks and procedures.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify and address potential issues.
  • Corporate Governance:
  • Provide guidance to the board of directors on best practices in corporate governance.
  • Organize and prepare materials for board and committee meetings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
  • Company Secretarial Functions:
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all statutory and regulatory filings.
  • Maintain and update corporate records, including board minutes, resolutions, and other legal documents.
  • Facilitate communication between the board, management, and stakeholders.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess potential legal and compliance risks.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of potential risks.
  • Training and Awareness:
  • Deliver training sessions for employees on compliance-related matters.
  • Maintain team awareness of changes in laws and regulations that may impact the business.

Our ideal candidate should have a Certified Company Secretary qualification and minimum 7+ years of post-qualification business partnering experience. They should also possess strong influencing skills and ability to work with Senior Leaders across functions.
