At Goldman Sachs, we are seeking an experienced Regulatory Operations Specialist to join our team in the Regulatory & Control Operations division.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to work on regulatory reporting requirements, including MiFID II. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, processes, and systems across global jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop expert knowledge in regulatory requirements, processes, and systems across global jurisdictions
  • Perform reconciliation and exception management as per various regulatory requirements
  • Investigate and remediate issues with these reports and develop control improvements
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives relating to these reports, such as strategic technology developments
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in the financial industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to ask the right questions and convey the right message
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze problems and produce potential solutions
  • Basic knowledge/experience in regulatory reporting, including technical terms and jargon used in the industry
  • Tools and techniques, such as SQL language, to self-serve and analyze data
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong regulation knowledge on MiFID II reporting, including trade life cycle and JIRA instance navigation
  • Tools and techniques, aware of commonly used tools such as Kibana, DROIT, and SQL (advanced)
  • Problem-solving skills, able to analyze problems independently and produce potential solutions
