We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Technology Lead to join our team at EbixCash. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Java development team and overseeing the technical design and implementation of our Java-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review business requirements and create technical designs that meet the requirements and overall architecture.
  • Task allocation and tracking of development activities.
  • Provide technical guidance to a team of software developers.
  • Identify risks on the project and escalate them to the project manager.
  • Layout the build and deployment procedures required for the project and document them.
  • Interact with the client for clarifications during development.
  • Perform code unit test case / results reviews as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Sciences.
  • At least 5 years of solid experience in Java, JEE, Spring, Multi-Threading, and Java-based Web Services – REST/SOAP, Hibernate with JPA, and other related technologies.
  • Knowledge of JSF/GWT is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in coding.
  • Strong working experience in at least one RDBMS system, such as Oracle/SQL Server/DB2.
  • Experience in technical design and estimating work based on the design/architecture.
  • Experience in high availability and scalability is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong knowledge of design patterns and OOAD.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of build tools like Maven/Ant is a plus.
  • Ability to take ownership of the code base.
