Business Analyst for Mortgage Loan Origination System

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our team at Idexcel in Hyderabad, India. As a key member of our consumer mortgage loan origination system development team, you will play a critical role in building a cutting-edge solution for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for all aspects of the consumer mortgage loan origination process, including application intake, processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys with stakeholders (loan officers, underwriters, processors, borrowers, etc.) to understand their needs and pain points.
- Analyze existing loan origination processes and identify areas for improvement and automation.
- Create process flow diagrams, use case scenarios, and data models to visualize and communicate requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, including regulations, loan products, and industry best practices.
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes (e.g., TRID, HMDA) and their impact on the loan origination process.
- Ensure our LOS complies with all relevant federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with the product development team to design and implement a user-friendly and efficient LOS.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies.
- Assist in the creation of user acceptance testing (UAT) plans and test cases.
- Support the implementation and rollout of new features and enhancements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and test cases.
- Clearly communicate requirements and updates to the development team, stakeholders, and clients.
- Create training materials and user guides to support the adoption of the LOS.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the mortgage industry, with a focus on loan origination systems.
- Mortgage Knowledge: Strong understanding of the mortgage loan lifecycle, including loan products, underwriting guidelines, and closing procedures.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum), data analysis techniques, and process mapping tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
