Job Title: Advanced Backend Developer

This is a highly sought-after position for experienced backend engineers who are passionate about integrating advanced AI/ML models into production systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems, as well as hands-on experience with cloud platforms and DevOps tools.

  • The successful applicant will design, build, and maintain robust backend services in Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask) to meet the evolving needs of our digital ecosystem.
  • They will integrate machine learning models into production APIs and pipelines for recommendations and personalization, driving business growth through data-driven insights.
  • Collaboration is key in this role; the engineer will work closely with ML teams and product groups to deliver AI-driven features that exceed customer expectations.
  • Low-latency APIs will be developed for serving recommendations and intelligent results, ensuring seamless user experiences across our digital channels.
  • Vector databases (Qdrant, Pinecone, Elasticsearch, etc.) will be leveraged to power similarity search and embeddings, unlocking new opportunities for content recommendation and discovery.
  • Deployments, monitoring, and scaling of services will be handled in cloud environments (AWS preferred), ensuring high availability and performance.
  • The successful engineer will contribute to system architecture, performance optimization, and design decisions, driving innovation and excellence in our engineering practices.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines will be implemented with strong testing and code quality practices, ensuring reliability and speed in our software delivery.

Key qualifications include:

  • Strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems.
  • Proven track record of building and deploying production-ready APIs.
  • Experience integrating ML models or AI services into backend infrastructure.
  • Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
  • Database expertise: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis, Elasticsearch).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in remote team settings.

Bonus skills:

  • Experience with recommendation systems or personalization pipelines.
  • Familiarity with vector databases and embedding-based search.
  • Frontend integration knowledge (React, Next.js, GraphQL).
  • Experience monitoring and optimizing ML-powered production systems (Prometheus, Grafana).
