About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Kumaraguru Centre for Industrial Research and Innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects and product development, end-to-end, from both project management and technical perspectives.
Key Responsibilities
- To actively manage Technology and Engineering domain-driven projects predominantly in Design & Development, involving planning, resource management, execution, monitoring, tracking, and implementation while ensuring that all customer requirements are met, and goals are achieved within the target timeline and budget.
- To prepare Technical Proposals in discussion with prospective customers for understanding the requirements, preparation of scope of work & methodology, and estimating resource requirements, cost, and schedule for the projects.
- Periodically monitor and report progress and issues to the management and customers using appropriate professional tools.
Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for the successful completion of all projects and products development within the target budget and date.
- Plan and proactively engage in the development of new products.
- Efficient project planning, execution, monitoring, tracking, and implementation using the appropriate project management tools and processes.
- Understand and consolidate the project scope and requirements for preparing Techno-Commercial Proposal and actively interact with customers for winning the project.
- Provide guidance and mentor the team on technical aspects to plan, execute, test, and implement the project in line with customer expectations.
- Provide support and solutions to remove all technical roadblocks that might impact the project.
- Building, managing, and retaining relationships with existing clients and Industrial partners.
- Implement and ensure all processes relevant to various phases of the project.
- Preparing detailed and quality technical reports for reviews and submission to clients.
- Monitor and control the project progress by periodic reviews, coordinate between stakeholders, and resolve issues and problems.
- Preparing project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and actions.
- Facilitate and participate in publishing technical publications by the project team.
Educational Qualification
An engineering graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Stream, preferably with a Post-Graduation, is desired.
Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 10 years of technical experience in Engineering Services and Product Design & Development.
- Experience in Project Management and Process Implementation.
- Team Management and Stakeholder Management skills.
- Time Management and Planning skills.
- Problem-solving and multi-tasking with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary.
- Exposure to Project Management tools.
- Excellent Communication and Analytical skills.
- Good level of proficiency in MS Office products.
- Self-motivated and ability to motivate the team.
The estimated salary for this position is ₹1,200,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
